How to live with acne
Acne is a common skin disorder that occurs commonly in teenagers and sometimes in adults are not spared too. It is nothing but the inflammation of the skin due to the over production of oil by the sebaceous glands which makes the pores to clog and in turn causes skin inflammation. Many teenagers loose their self esteem as well as self confidence when they are countered by acne. They feel as if they must be secluded from public and will not feel like socializing with their friends and families or with their neighbors. As acne is the most common skin condition that will happen to almost 90% of the teenagers, there is no need to worry about it at all and teenagers will have to cope to live with acne. Proper acne care will help all the individuals suffering from acne to carry out their day to day activities without concentrating too much on the problem.
The first step that you should take in living with acne is by keeping yourself clean. Clean skin prevents the bacteria from infecting the acne blemishes as well as reduces the excess oil produced in the body. Cleaning the skin with face washes and astringents will help to remove dirt and dead cells. Most people are under the belief that scrubbing the acne infected area quiet often will prevent spreading of acne. People suffering from bouts of acne must always get good sleep and relaxation for the body, which increases the efficiency of our immune system and helps to balance our hormone production. It is necessary to change your bed sheets and pillow covers frequently as there are chances for dirt, sebum and bacteria to accumulate in them.
Exercise plays a major part in controlling acne production and will help you in living with it. Exercises improve the general health and causes release of endorphins in the body which reduces stress and stress related acne problems. Even though exercise provides relief from acne, proper cleaning of the excess perspiration that occurs after an exercise session should be removed thoroughly from the body. Perspiration promotes bacterial growth and eventually blocks the hair follicles which will worsen acne. Apart from the exercise, following a healthy and balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables and less of oily and dairy foods improves your metabolic system and prevents acne.
So, it is important to have personal hygiene, proper exercise regime, good dietary habits and enough sleep and rest to reduce the impact of acne and to lead a peaceful life.
